  • Keep lines of communication open and accessible

  • Promote time away from electronics and social media

  • Know the warning signs of stress and anxiety in kids:

    • Irritability

    • Heightened Emotions

    • Regressive Behaviors

    • Headaches

    • Stomach Aches

    • Sleep Disturbances

  • Provide support, structure and reassurance

  • Work to find positive ways to manage their feelings

  • Help to find a means of expression (writing, drawing, talking, dancing, etc.)

  • Find physical outlets to manage anxiety

  • Use means of distraction to manage emotions (reading, games, etc.)
